  • If you thought 2024 was lucrative wait until you see what we have coming in 2025! Our fearless forecast is that mortgage and interest rates will be higher for longer. Climate and cost related migration will accelerate to places like the Oregon Coast. Once again we are bullish on prime (accurately valued) real estate, gold, commodities and we expect an eventual pull back in equities.

  • The horrific fires in Southern California will have a cascading effect on the economy, housing market and in particular the California and national property insurance market. 📝 2025 Oregon Coast Vacation Rental Overview

The Oregon Coast remains a viable vacation rental investment market despite increasing legislation and regulations from cities, counties and municipalities. The majority of regions rules for STR permitting remains unchanged or have recently instituted CAP’s on total vacation rental dwellings permitted to operate. A good example would be the Road’s End area of Lincoln City Oregon. Last year, actively permitted residences could transfer the permit to the new owners. That rule exception has since expired and new STR permits would be subject to a CAP. Rockaway Beach is another top investment destination that instituted a CAP on new STR permits in 2024. Actively licensed properties may transfer to a new owner.

The implications are that operational STR’s should gain enhanced revenue performance due to reduced rental inventory and competition.
