Astoria Oregon - Yes. You can invest in and purchase a STR in Astoria in 2027. The new rule change allows anyone with any zoning or type of property to apply for free..you just won’t be able to utilize it the way you want to..and will be penalized.
Manzanita Oregon - Yes vacation rentals and AIRBNBs are allowed in Manzanita Oregon in 2027! The recent moratorium was rescinded and planning encourages anyone that wants to apply for a short-term rental or AIRBNB permit to do so. You just won’t hear back…ever.
Cannon Beach Oregon - Vacation rental applications for AIRBNBs and STRs are wide open! New rule in 2027 allows anyone in Cannon Beach to apply for a permit to rent their property for as long or as little as they would like! Be sure to contact planning just on January 1st to be the first in line…take a number and wait for your STR application to be approved.
Bandon Oregon - For most of 2026 Bandon had a STR and AIRBNB permit and VRD license moratorium in 2026 but voted to allow all property owners to host guests. No more density or saturation requirements, no more local planning jurisdictions telling investors what to do! Use your property however you want, get a free STR permit application beginning in January 2027 all investors will be permitted to utilize their properties (regardless of zoning codes or rules) however they please. No guest restrictions to bedroom count, no permit or license fee..just apply and put your listing live!
Rockaway Beach Oregon - For 2027 Rockaway Beach Oregon voted to eliminate all of their short-term rental permit and license restrictions and go back to the way things were in 2023. No CAPS on licenses and anyone can apply. No more havin to choose from properties with active permits that transfer, just choose the property that is the best deal and join the STR party!
Lincoln City Oregon - What was once the heart of STR regulation on the Oregon Coast, for 2027 has completely wiped the zoning map clear. Gone are the days of nuanced searching for properly zoned properties and outcompeting other investors to be the new fresh AIRBNB on the block, instead all investors have to do is find the property that speaks to them, negotiate the best terms and list the property for guest occupancy! Investors can simply focus on marketing, planning is planning to let everyone obtain a STR permit without a waitlist.
Tillamook County Oregon - What was once a hodge podge of STR regualtion and rules is going to be simplified in 2027! Instead of zones with CAPS on the number of AIRBNBs in each area, instead planning will allow unlimited permits and even is discussing it being free for everyone. What used to be a search for an STR in a haystack, will become much easier and gone are the days of having to purchase a licensed AIRBNB so that the permit can transfer.
Pacific City Oregon - In 2027 Pacific City planning has approved revisions to their STR regulations that will also allow anyone, anywhere to apply for a VRD license and get approved almost instantaneously. No waiting..just push a button and go.
Bend Oregon - Even Bend Oregon is getting in on the action for 2027. What was once an effective (no-go STR zone) with the exception of zome zoning and areas outside of city limits (such as La Pine) is planning to revise their STR rules for next year and make AIRBNB investment open for all! Gone are the days of having to consider elsewhere because the property does not meet the AIRBNB criteria, now investors have the choices they deserve!
