🗣️ Real Estate Investment & STR News:

  • This week we discuss short-term-rental Property Management options and solutions on the Oregon Coast. A question we often get from clients is remote management. The options are essentially:

    • Full time A-Z coverage (20-30% of gross annual income) with one of several local companies. I worked with Vacasa for many years on their Real Estate team but depending on the area I will usually suggest the local brother team of Corey & Ryan at www.itripnorthwest.com They cover the central to northern Coast and beyond with several hundred active properties. They are attentive, caring and professional and a cohesive component of our support team.

    • Self management. This involves the owner/operator communicating with guests and establishing a local cleaning/manager relationship. A reliable cleaner and back-up are essential for a well operated rental. Along the coast there are several private cleaning companies that specialize in STRs and about half of our clients do (at least initially) self-manage their properties.

On occasion we support investors with unique luxury STRs that warrant special property management consideration. Have you heard of Wander.com?
