This week we discuss short-term-rental Property Management options and solutions on the Oregon Coast. A question we often get from clients is remote management. The options are essentially:
Full time A-Z coverage (20-30% of gross annual income) with one of several local companies. I worked with Vacasa for many years on their Real Estate team but depending on the area I will usually suggest the local brother team of Corey & Ryan at www.itripnorthwest.com They cover the central to northern Coast and beyond with several hundred active properties. They are attentive, caring and professional and a cohesive component of our support team.
Self management. This involves the owner/operator communicating with guests and establishing a local cleaning/manager relationship. A reliable cleaner and back-up are essential for a well operated rental. Along the coast there are several private cleaning companies that specialize in STRs and about half of our clients do (at least initially) self-manage their properties.
On occasion we support investors with unique luxury STRs that warrant special property management consideration. Have you heard of Wander.com? We have visited or toured several of their exceptional hosted properties and fully validate their reputation and performance. The average Wander hosted home nearly doubles the average production of a comparable property.
